Major Project - Interactive Online Promotional
'The growth in online marketing and advertising is changing the dynamics of how businesses communicates to their potential customers. In particular 'viral marketing'has been foundto be incredibly successful.' - copied from the assignment criteria
Okay, so our major assignment is asking us to create an online marketing campaign concept for the next generation of iPod devices - in terms of using viral marketing as the key. Before we can make any plans on creating such a campaign, we need to first understand what viral marketing is, and the effectiveness of such a tactic - hence we would be able to follow suit.

Viral marketing - uses pre-existing social networkds to produce increase in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self-replicating viral processes etc. / word or mouth, use of the internet (video clips, interactve flash games, images etc)
Need to identify individuals with high Social Networking Potential (SNP) and create Viral Messages that appeal to this segment of the population and have a high probability of being passed along
